The Merandis, husband & wife, opened CONI & FRANC on November 29, 1982. They wanted to provide a place where a customer could get everything they needed in one place, & that specialized in high quality clothing and personal assistance. 

 

Connie received her bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising & design with a minor in business. Frank graduated with his bachelor's degree in marketing and business. They both attended West Virginia University, and shortly after opening the store, were married on June 4, 1983.

 

The last 41 years have been a whirlwind of excitement, success, and hard work. They still hand select every piece that comes into the store, making sure it is the finest quality for their clientele. Not only have they dressed countless brides, pageantry contestants, and ladies both young and old, but they strive to work with the community to support the youth & many organizations.

 

Just like 41 years ago, they train their skilled staff to uphold these "old fashioned", but important values as they serve each customer -- one at a time.

A walk down memory lane

Throughout the years, we have been proud to host numerous events including fashion and trunk shows for our community. Our involvement with the local university has allowed us to connect with young brides-to-be and share our knowledge and experience with them. We believe in supporting our community and giving back whenever we can.


As a family-owned business, we understand the importance of personal connections. Our team is dedicated to getting to know our clients and their unique styles to ensure that we provide them with the perfect dress for their special day. It's a source of joy to see that many of these leaders are thriving despite the challenges of the past decade and the pandemic. Additionally, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of women starting their own businesses. Women are making significant strides in managing their enterprises!

Connie and Lauren show off a few amazing pieces and discuss the upcoming Trunk Show for Joseph Ribkoff, one of the top designers Connie loves to work with. Trunk Shows are a regular event at CONI & FRANC and provide the store with amazing selections.

The annual Spring Wedding Expo at Lakeview Resort in Cheat Lake, West Virginia, partnered with West Virginia's Premiere Wedding Expo. The event featured Monte Durham, a West Virginia native and star of TLC's 'Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta.' The expo concluded with a dress giveaway from Coni and Franc Bridal Boutique, giving one fortunate bride a chance to win.

The WV Premier Wedding Expo at Hotel Morgan showcased the latest wedding trends for brides. Vendors from across north central West Virginia participated, offering goods and services, while a fashion show featured wedding attire. Monte Durham from "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta" made a special appearance, providing VIP experiences. The event promotes West Virginia as a wedding destination with its scenic mountains and great facilities. The expo is held twice a year, with the next edition in February 2022
